These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the use of www.psychologyforactors.com (the “Site”). This Site is owned by Word Bothy Ltd and operated by Alexa Ispas. This Site is an ecommerce website.

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.

Agree to emails
By downloading or purchasing an item from the Site, you actively and specifically consent to receiving marketing emails from Alexa Ispas. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Intellectual Property
All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Alexa Ispas and the Site’s creators. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

Acceptable Use
As a user of our Site, you agree to use our Site legally, not to use our Site for illegal purposes, and not to:

Sale of Goods
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of goods available on our Site.

Ebooks, audiobooks, print books, coaching sessions.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all the goods that are displayed on our Site at the time you access it. This includes all products listed as being out of stock.

All information, descriptions, or images that we provide about our goods are as accurate as possible. However, we are not legally bound by such information, descriptions, or images as we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all goods we provide. You agree to purchase goods from our Site at your own risk.

We reserve the right to modify, reject, or cancel your order whenever it becomes necessary. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount you paid. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund.

Payments
We process payments using Stripe.

When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.

If we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.

Shipping and Delivery of paperbacks, ebooks, and audiobooks

Our paperback orders are printed and shipped by BookVault all around the world.

Your shipping costs are calculated at checkout, based on your location. The books are generally dispatched within 2-3 business days of receiving your order.  

Please provide us with a complete and accurate delivery address, including the name of the recipient.

We are not liable for delivery of your goods to the wrong address or person as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or incomplete information.

Our ebooks and audiobooks are delivered by BookFunnel to the email address you provided when placing your order.

Please check this email address as well as your spam folder for the products you purchased.

The email usually arrives within 10 minutes of placing your order. If you did not receive this email within 10 minutes of placing your order, and you have already checked your spam folder, please contact BookFunnel at help@bookfunnel.com

Coaching sessions

Coaching sessions are conducted by Alexa Ispas over Zoom and each coaching session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.

Payment for coaching sessions is made in advance.

Bookings are made by adding one or more coaching sessions to the cart and making payment. You will then receive an email from Alexa Ispas within approx. 24 hours to arrange a mutually suitable time to meet over Zoom.

Please provide the correct email address when making a booking, and check your spam folder in case you have not received an email within 24 hours.

Please be on time for your Zoom meeting. If you are more than 10 minutes late for a session, the coaching session will be cancelled and there will be no refund.

If you need to cancel a coaching session, please provide at least 48 hours notice to receive a full refund. If the notice period is less than 48 hours, we reserve the right to only offer a 50% refund.

 You will also be asked to consider rescheduling a session instead of cancelling it. Please provide at least 24 hours notice when rescheduling a session, to minimize disruption.   

If you have purchased a discounted session, please make sure you redeem it before the end of 2024, otherwise it will no longer be redeemable after that deadline.

You can change your mind about the focus of a coaching session you have purchased at any time. For example, if you have booked a session for Memorization but would rather work on Self-Confidence when the session time starts, simply tell your coach about your change of plan.  

Refunds
No refund can be given for ebooks and audiobooks, as these are instant downloads. Please choose carefully when making a purchase. Make sure you choose the correct format, and also that you do not purchase the same item twice. 

For paperback books, we do accept returns and refunds if the product is faulty or lost in transit. If this is the case, please contact us at mail(at)psychologyforactors.com within 30 days of making the purchase.

In all other cases, we cannot accept returns and refunds on our paperbacks, as they are printed to order.

For coaching sessions, you will receive a full refund as long as you give at least 48 hours notice. Otherwise, you will receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, you will be asked to consider rescheduling the session rather than cancelling it.

If you are more than 10 minutes late for a coaching session, the session will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.

Consumer Protection Law
Where consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.

Limitation of Liability
Alexa Ispas, Word Bothy Ltd, and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.

Indemnity
Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Alexa Ispas and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

By downloading or purchasing an item, you agree to receive email marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.

Changes
These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the way we expect users to behave on our Site. We will notify users by email of changes to these Terms and Conditions or post a notice on our Site.
